engine position

Hi Guys, I have a small 25 two stroke mounted in an Attila, Its not quite inverted, sort of the the No 8 position on a clock face. The question is , will the engin e run o.k. mounted in this position . Thanks in advance for all replys.

RE: engine position

That's probably done to get the exhaust centered on the bottom of the fuselage. As long as the carb is close to the centerline of the tank it will run fine. The engine doesn't care how it's mounted. If the tank centerline is much above the needle valve , it will siphon fuel and you might have some tuning problems.

No trouble as long as you do as Steve mentioned. All my fun fly planes had the head pointed at the 4 O clock position. Easy to get to the needle valve and route the muffler out the bottom for better clean up.
