Remote Camera Operating

Besides the air force, Does or has anyone Flown by remote camera.

Im actually an RC Truck operater. I have been tossing the idea over of getting into Heli's or Jets. I just thought the remote camera would a pretty neat thing if it was feasable.

Ideas or thoughts?

TIA

My first thought would be, save youself some money and buy a trainer and find an instructor before you worry about remote camera systems or helis and jets. ;) (This isn't as easy as your ground vehicles.)

There was a guy that I'd seen a video clip about. He had developed a remotely piloted RC plane and flew it from inside a van. This was perhaps 10 years ago, and I think the van was required to carry the support equipment. (Electronics, downlink receiver, video system for viewing the flight from the "cockpit".)

What I'm saying is, it's been done, but can probably be done easier today. There are guys flying Wingos with video cameras on them for gawd's sake.

I have a cheap digital camera I hook up to my plane. I use a servo attached by double-sided tape to actuate it. The control arm hits the button when I flip my spring loaded (trainer/snap roll) switch.
