When I tried to use elevator it.......
Hi,
When I tried to use elevator or rudder with my remote controller for a super cub LP I would move the elevator up and while holding it for 2 seconds upward it went down and stayed down but seemed like it was trying to go back up but it just stays and that includes making it go downward first as well and the same thing with the rudder, I move it one way it stays for a second or 2 then turns the other way and stays. I have wrecked it a few times and it still worked correctly but not after the last time I wrecked it.. I'm a newbie and wondered if anyone else has had this problem occur and if so what was it that was wrong or the smart thing to do? Thanks in advance. |
RE: When I tried to use elevator it.......
Sounds like you may need to send it in for repairs. Your last accident may have done in the reciever or servo. Good Luck, Dave

You may have damaged the servo <!StartFragment>potentiometer and now the servo has no position reference. Servo is probably toast and needs to be replaced. Verify your servo connections by moving the elevator stick on the radio while at the same time moving the wires around. But my guess is that they aren't the issue.<!EndFragment>

Recharge your receiver battery or replace if dry cells

RE: When I tried to use elevator it.......
It could be the "ACT" working - Anti Crash Technology... I trained a couple guys on this and it does just what you mentioned...
If you "hold" a control too long, it sets everything back to zero (usually) and is designed to let the airplane stabilize itself in flight... Yours may be giving you oposite control because the plane is not sensing correction (I'm pretty sure that plane has the light/dark sensor)... So, give everything a look over as suggested. Try the controls with the ACT turned off (on the ground).. Then, if possible, have an experienced pilot test the plane.. Good Luck... It's a pretty darn nice little plane, a couple of incidents should not have done it in.. |
