Flaps
 

I have a dx8 with a AR8000 reciever and I am trying to setup flaps and gear but can't get it to work. I have cessna that has two servos for ailerons with a y connector and the same for the flaps and I would like to use the gear channel for a drop box. What do I need to do to get the flaps to work. I have played with the swith settings and port I plug the flaps into but nothing. ANy help?

Be sure to set the wing type to the one that shows ailerons and flaps each on one channel. Then in settings there is a screen for flaps that I think is set to inhibit by default. Enable that. There is another screen that let's you set travel for 3 position flap switch, and mix for elevator.

I forget which channel ends up being for flaps, but the monitor screen will show you.

I got it. Since I was using a y-harness, I needed for the wing type to be 1 aileron and 1 flap.
