what does 1/24 scale mean
 
math has never been my strong point. lost with what 1/24 scale means

There are different ways of looking at it, all resulting in the same thing. It basically means that the full scale is 24 times bigger than the model. It can also be expressed as 1/2"=1' or 1:24. If the full scale has a wingspan of 48' (just to make it easy), then the model has a wingspan of 2' or 24".

The model is 1/24 th the size of the real plane...Or, every measurement of the model would have to be multiplied 24 times to equal the full size craft. Or... it would take 24 models laid end to end to compare to the real one !:eek:
