Cameras

This is the second time I have tried to post this question..I am not sure where the first one went.. Anyway..I would like to mount a camera to the wing of my 1/4 scale Cub...I know nothing about cameras...I would like it if I could control it from the ground but I don't know if that is possible.. It would be nice to be able to turn it on and off and control the direction that it points . Also I would like to be able to take both stills and videos and I would like reasonably clear pictures...If somebody could recommend a camera and tell me where to find one it would be appreciated.. I did look on line but it got a bit confusing .. I found ones that looked a little like wieners for around $25.00 but I don't think they would do the job...

Controlling from the ground opens a whole can of worms with a gimbal and all.

The camera I use a LOT is a Go Pro Hero3 Black

If your plane is gas or glow the vibration is an issue with picture quality.

Go Pro makes the best stuff, but to do what you want really takes 2 guys. One to fly the plane and one to fly the camera(so to speak). This is why a lot of guys mount the Go Pro to a quadcopter. The quad can be setup to fly like a plane and you can turn the copter to any direction instead of just the camera. If you go this route, make sure you get a top notch memory card for the camera. Most are not fast enough for video even if they have a capacity.
