Which Switch?
1 Attachment(s)
I sure hope someone can help with this: I purchased a second hand Comp-ARF airframe at a fly-in. It's a nice clean Extra 330. The seller had removed most of the hardware, including the switches. So, the fuse has been cut for three switches. Seller told me heavy duty JR switches were installed. Wrong. All the JR switches are too small. The cut-out measures 15mm x 35mm with 40mm center to center on the bolt holes. I printed the Fromeco Badger mounting diagram and it seems to be a perfect fit. But, Fromeco is about the most expensive switch you can get and I need three of them. If I have to go that route, I will, but I am hoping to find an alternative. Does anyone know of another switch that size?
Thanks, Tony http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/atta...mentid=1985113 |

http://www.horizonhobby.com/products...switch-JRPA004 The JR switch is too small. I've got the MPI charge switch, again, too small. I don't have the one with the indicator, but I don't want to go that route as I will be using 123's and the voltage indicator is useless. |

That JR switch was very popular for the large scale aerobatic airplanes several years ago. There weren't many other options. If you look closely in the picture you will see under my Niece's right elbow a light colored rectangle. That is an area I filled in with balsa that used to house one of the JR charge switches.

I'd be shocked if its not a JR Heavy Duty Charge switch.
Mine is mounted but the area covered by the lip is around 46x18mm |

I'm not sure that airframe is rated for passengers. Thanks for the help, guys. |
