I see on Seagull Models website they have a Bucker Jungmeister ARF. Does anyone know when this plane will

Aframe2, the Seagull Bucker JU-133 Jungmeister ARF will be available from SIGPlanes.com this fall. SIG Mfg. is the new exclusive distributor of Seagull Models in the U.S. & Canada, and those models will be available online shortly. Look for more announcements coming soon on our Facebook page.

Please Sig, get the other trim versions that are available overseas now in stock. This color scheme does not do the plane justice. I personally would have a lot of trouble with it since the last 30 years of R/C flying all my planes have had checkerboards on the bottom and starburst on the top !

The other two color schemes are not available in the US, just overseas. I'm hoping that Sig will bring some in. Apparently they are not following this thread.

Agree Dave. The one they have chosen is UGLY! Checkers on the top? No! We should at least be able to special order the Bevo Howard scheme.

I will order from overseas if I have too.

I looked at that. The freight doubles the price. You can do a lot of covering for that and to your own scheme, We Bucker enthusiasts need to get Sig to import the other two schemes. Seems like it wouldn't be too hard to have them shipped in with the other. I might just give them a call as I don't think they're looking at this thread.

Good news guys, I saw on the seagull Facebook page they are doing the Bevo Howard scheme for the U.S. Market! They have several pictures of it on their FB page.

Nice, please share what you find out for due dates Dave. Does anyone know what the 3rd scheme is?

The third version is the Swiss yellow. I rember reading that they made that for the European market so we might not see it here

I just talked to Mike at Sig. Great Guy! He said the next shipment available about March will be the Bevo Howard version and that he'll add some Swiss versions as well. I committed to one of each by email to Mike. He said he'd welcome the same from anyone else too. So now is the time to get on the list.

I agree on that Flycatcher. I'm not interested in most of their planes but from the pictures I've seen of the Bucker and their Cassutt they are improving the scale fidelity. Maybe that's because of input from Hanger 9 and Sig I don't know. I've seen factory pictures and noticed this same factory is producing some of the Hanger 9 and Eflite planes too. That's probably a trade secret. I'm going to give it try and see what happens.

Look carefully on the Seagull facebook pages and the photos of the containers they are loading. You will be amazed at the labels and who they're actually building for.

I was surprised to see "Hanger 9 P-51 60cc". on some of the boxes.

Hello fellow Jungmeister fans! Here's the scoop on what's available from Seagull and SIG.

Seagull originally came out with the Alex Papana version of the Bucker Jungmeister. That's the one with the checkers on the top. As of now SIG's first delivery of this version came in last week and are already sold out. We have a handful more coming in, expected here around Jan. 1st. They are over half pre-sold already. So if you want a Jungmeister with this color scheme you should order soon. You can order direct from SIG via phone or web site www.sigmfg.com; or from our online dealer SIGPlanes.com

Seagull evidently got requests from its European customers for a more common yellow color scheme ... Swiss military trainer scheme, I believe ... common on most of the full-scale Jungmeisters currently flying in Europe. Due to two requests SIG will order a few of this color scheme in our next order from Seagull - tentatively scheduled to arrive here about April 1st (the lead time is that long!). If you are interest in a yellow Jungmeister, please let me know via email here at SIG ( [email protected] ), so I can be sure to order enough of them. I don't expect that we will keep the yellow airplane in stock over the long haul.

Like you, I personally love the Jungmeister and want to fly one myself. However I did not want the Papana or the yellow color scheme, so I asked Seagull about producing the Bevo Howard color scheme for the U.S. market, and they agreed it is a good idea. That is the red and white sunburst scheme. Flown by the legendary U.S. pilot Bevo Howard. His full-scale Jungmeister now hangs in the Smithsonian Uvar-Hazy Museum. This color scheme is brand new. Seagull has produced one sample, which is on its way to me now. Once I get it put together, I will post photos here. This airplane will also be available about April 1st. SIG will begin taking pre-orders soon. Don't worry about us running out of this one. I plan on it being our mainstay Seagull Jungmeister.

Thank you Mike for the update! I'm glad you will be stocking the Bevo Howard scheme because that's the one I want! I'll be preordering as soon as I can. I love the way Seagull isn't afraid to take on challenging and unusual aircraft and their scale accuracy is really improving. Thanks again sir.

I know it seems we always want what's not there, but what about the Gypsy Moth and the Cassutt. Will they be next years additions also??

Well, I bought one of these birds. For me, being Swiss, it had to be the Swiss versions. Swiss-ish I would say. :confused:
They did not really do a good job investigating what that thing should look like!

By the way, the rudder is in this picture already changed to red...first step to a real Swiss Bücker! ;)

From this picture you can also see the biggest compromise they had to go with: The engine cowling is wayyyy longer!
My best guess is to make room for the motor on the model.
For me, going electric a big draw back and a pity! :(

Other then that the model looks quite scale to me. :D

I heard from friends and in the forums that guys are flying this thing at around 6-7kgs!! :eek::eek:

My goal was to get it airborne under 5kgs!
So I started to get going.

If you guys are interested I will do a quick building log!?
I am in the final stage with my Bücker now. A lot more hours then anticipated went into converting it to electric and to get the weight
were I wanted it! :p

Hi Martin,
I would love to see what you did to convert to electric especially the weights and locations of components to balance. I prefer the Swiss version myself and noticed the top of the cowl black paint right away. Would you please give me the measurement of the thickest part of the airfoil? I hope they gave it a thicker airfoil than scale as I fly at 3000' elevation and my 1/4 scale Platt Jungmeister with a scale airfoil doesn't like the thin air. Goldberg kitted a 1/4 scale Jungmann or at least the wings were the same span as my jungmiester. That model had a fairly thick symmetrical airfoil. I think that would be great except for the non-scale thing.
