Detailed sanding plastic styrene filler
 

Hello

I have been working on a kit build rc auto gyro front nose cowling which you can see in pic. I glued the inside panel plate in
place with styrene filler I made up worked quite well I might ad . Problem though I may have made it a little to thick a few small globs that need to be sanded down before primer. These little globs or little build up are in a quite compromising area not sure if you can see in pic or not right at the seam where the front shell meets the front inside nose panel plate. Top view which I build to represent the outside frame for inside dashboard which is just made of pink card stock template right now . Anyway things I have tried to use with some success toothpaste, and toothbrush, baking soda, all has cleaned it up a bit but very slow and tedious work, other ideas I have but may not be appropriate sanding needles and sanding sponges. I do not want to tag the edges where the seam meets when sanding and ruin the model so as you can see somewhat comprised right now . This model comes complete with a pilot when done

Do I understand you right that you want to sand it flush with cone shaped thing?
Just use a file and then 80-240 sanding paper and to obtain a final surface sand with 400-600 paper.

Popsicle stick and 220, 320 sandpaper? Cut a thin strip of sandpaper and use it like the rag for polishing shoes. it will follow the couture shape of the piece. Very light pressure and the sand paper will smooth out the bumps.
