Online shops in Canada

I know this has been covered before but maybe there's some new developments due to Covid so a refresh is needed. I'm wondering what are some good online rc stores in Canada you guys can recommend? Not just ones that carry rc planes/parts but all other rc stuff as well including rc cars and rc boats. I'm aware of canadahobbies, greathobbies, hobbywholesale and a couple of others. Any other pearls I'm missing?

Now a quick question about taxes. If I'm in Ontario and the shop is in Alberta for example where all you pay is the 5% GST should I be charged the 5% or the full Ontario rate of 13% HST? What if the store is in B.C. where the rate is 12%? Will I pay their 12% or the Ontario rate of 13%?

I gotta say this forum is becoming pretty darn useless, I'm starting to feel there's not much point in even coming here. Last 3 or so threads I posted got no replies and I've basically had to solve the problem by trial and error.

Anyways, if anyone cares it seems the taxes you get charged are the taxes that apply in the province where the online store is based in.

This forum, like most others is US based and not many members are from Canada.

Thanks Steve. No doubt, simple economy of scale I suppose. Still, I was perhaps foolishly expecting more than there is. The strange thing is that I did a fairly exhaustive net search for 'online hobby shops in canada' and many other variations of those search terms and even looked 2 or 3 pages deep in the results and never came up with either shami or thunderbolt, just the bigger ones like greathobbies etc. There just doesn't seem to be a simple way of minimizing or avoiding the elephant in the room in the form of customs/duties and I guess many Canadians just order from the big US stores like Tower or whatever. The gov't already has all the angles worked out don't they. lol
