Good on both the kits and the customer service.
Here's a review of one of their kits https://www.modelaviation.com/old-school-robinhood-80 |
I recently ordered a Javelin kit, directly from them. I received it very quickly, and it was packaged really well. I haven't started building it yet, but I am impressed by the plans and manual, which I have been studying. I have been building for around 40 years, so I know what a good design and kit looks like, and everything about this one seems like a winner.

One of my clubs does a winter build challenge. This year we did the OSM 109. The kit went together great. I really liked the self alignment features. 6 of us were able to finish the kit and maiden them on Saturday. Of the 6 they all flew well and we plan to do some pylon racing with them.

An American company (and a small, privately owned one - not a publicly owned corporation), offers a good value in a good product, and has excellent customer service. I imagine the owner would respond quickly if you had any questions or problems. It is quite obvious that the owner put a ton of thought into just about every little detail. It was my dream about 35 years ago to do exactly what OSMW is doing, so I can really appreciate them.
I gladly support businesses that operate that way. They are doing us all a big service by offering products to keep this side of the hobby alive. And those products are new and innovative. What's not to love about that? I wouldn't be surprised if they came out with some new designs along the way, which would be great. If they have a plane that you like, I seriously doubt that you would be disappointed by anything from OSMW. |
