Bending push rods?

Hi

what is the best way to bend the push rod in order to connect it with the servo arm.. and get the bend correctly aligned with the servo?

thank you..

If you don't want to invest in a pair of "Z" bend pliers, you can use a good pair of needle nose or side-cutters to do it this way.

Unless you are flying a relatively slow trainer or sport plane, do not use Z bends. They wallow out the horns and get sloppy with use. On a higher performance plane this leads to flutter. Always use ball joints or clevises when possible. Remember, there are good clevises and some not so good, buy quality ones like DuBro or Roberts.

Abu:
Hook the pushrod up to the elevator. Prop the elevator up so it is level or neutral. have the servo arm so it is at right angles to the servo. Lay the pushrod on the servo arm and you can see where it needs to be bent.
