REPAIR PITTS MUFFLER
 

hi I had a pitts style muffler on my piper chero had a real hard hit on handing and broke the pipes off
oven at the muffler. What hurt also was the fact that it was only on for less then a week[lol].
Can this be repaired? or had for the scrap pile. HAPPY NEW YEAR GUYS AND Gals

If machined bar stock alum...Alumaloy and a propane torch... howsome ever probably cheaper to buy another one. Alumaloy runs about $ 50.00 per pound unless you can find someone who has some, already!

If one of the alum. pot cast stuff...forget it and buy another.

Thanks for the response I sort of figured it was headed for the dumpster.
I guess we will practice landing alittle softer[LOL].

I have gone to Midas muffler shop and asked them to weld it. They brazed it and it worked just fine.
