covering fuse on cub

1 Attachment(s)
I am trying to cover my cub w/koverall and did not anticipate this...
Glued along the middle length of the fuse sides a pc of 3/16" x 3/16" pc of wood rounded off to give it a "tube" a ppearance is asked of the building directions . when covering do I cover the fuse side, and all around the "tube", or do I just cover the fuse sides OVER the tube? I enclosed a pic so that I can be more clear as to what I'm writting about. Than you for your input.

Pocho,
The covering is stretched over the entire side. The raised stringer acts like a tent pole, holding the covering off the side of the fuse, so it rounds the side of the fuse a little. You don't want the sides to be flat (as they would be without the stringer), but stretched over the raised piece. Look at some of the websites or do a search for Piper Cub images for a better explanation. Look at the box your kit came with as well, usually they have some good photos to go by. I hope this helps.

First, thanks for the reply, it helps alot. Yeah I looked at the box for a very long time I even consulted with my wife, and we agreed that the covering seems to go the way in which you described. It's just that it seemed a bit strange. I covered before with monokote and I never came across a scenerio like this before. Thanks again!
