Can anyone help me identify this kit?

Many thanks for the help. My son recently bought and I may want to find the plans for it...

Thanks!

Don't know what that thing is, but the builder............ Never seen a motor mounted on the -bottom- of the motor mount before!
If the rest of the plane is "constructed" like that, beware!

You have a keen eye - My son just "stuck"my extra OS 46LA in the mount and yes, that isnt correct and he has some to learn...

This plane only came with the motor mount and no engine-....:) I don;t even know what size i should use. a 40 seems maybe a bit big...

Thanks for the reply... anyone else have any ideas?

THANK YOU!

You have found it - I found another post about "Das bipe stik" and that is indeed the plane. Now, I have the word out for finding a set of plans and to recover it - the 46LA sounds like it will work fine...

This is a great forum and web site. The help is invaluable.

It is indeed an old "Das Bipe Stick". It was one of the two best flying bipes of it's time. The other was the older Lou Andrews Aeromaster. From experience, I believe the Stick was the better flying plane.

It will be an excellent performing plane even by todays standards. I would suggest that you use an OS 50 or above for power, It is a very draggy design, but that's one of the things that made it fly so well.

I've been wishing for a while now that kit was still in production. If it was, I would get one as quickly as I could. Great flying plane, you won't be dissapointed.
