Clubs in Germany

I am looking for any one that may know of some clubs in Germany, particularly in the KMC area. I have found two but very few Americans fly with them. It is hard to believe that out of 30 + thousand Americans in this area that there are not more flyers around. Any information would be great.

Fun2Fly - I flew just outside of Heidelberg when I was stationed there until 2002. I didn't speak German and they didn't speak English, but lots of arm waving and pictures in the dirt had us communicating. :)

Here's a link to the hobby shop who's owner hooked me up with this club. If you can find the shop then take someone who can translate because he doesn't speak English.

This is him hand-launching the plane on this page. I carved the plug for this model in exchange for a Robbe Pitts kit. :)

Thanks for the the link, is this Hobby Shop near Hiedleberg? When you flew here did you covert over to the German frequency or did they let you keep the 72 MHZ??

Yes, that shop is the one near Heidelberg. There's another close by too, but I have no idea of the name of the town it was in. That shop is not too far the the Heidelberg Country Club.

They let me fly on 72, but it's not the best thing to do considering they may be using these frequencies for something else. I never got hit though.

BTW - I think there is a club near Ramstein, but you'll have to track down a shop to find out where.

I'm in Giebelstadt, near Wurzburg. We have two really nice clubs here. The main one is called "FSCW," or flying sports club Wurzburg. Some of the guys speak english, but it doesn't matter, as they all are very friendly and nice folks to fly with.
