pushrod connected to each side of elevator

I just noticed on the plans that I'm suppose to have a seperate connection for each elevator joined on a dowel and then connected to the servo. It will be fun to do this, since I've never done it before. I usually use golden rods, anyone have any suggestions on how to do it, besides the dowl? It is for a Midwest Citabria thanks

Use the Dave Brown pushrod. It is a fiberglass arrow shaft and comes with the correct end for the rods. You only need the rod and clevises. There are two per pack so you can make the rudder pushrod from the same pack.

If you prefer to use Gold n Rods, here's how I have done it:

I am building the same kit and I have questions about the sturdiness of that rod as well as the pushrod for the rudder. Is it strong enough that it won't flex?

If done correctly, the forked pushrod is fine. People occasionally have problems with them from not following the instructions on getting tem bent to the correct angles and/or placing the control horns different than indicated on the plans. If you change the geometry you are likely to create problems.

Some people have troubl "threading" the forked rod into the fuselage. this can be cured by temporary use of nyrod sheath. You run the sheath in (don't glue it) and then stick the ends of the forked rod in the sheaths. ths will guide the rod ends through the fuselage and into the exit slots with ease. ;)
