The Ultra Sport is a pattern type plane that also fits into the fun fly catagory. properly set up it will out perform the Super Sportster. The Super Sports is a fun fly type of plane only, and was not designed for 3D type flying if that's what you wanted to do.

Both are relatively forgiving. Both are fun. IMO the Ultra Sport is the better all around plane.

Both are good aircraft, for different purposes.

The Super Sportster is a sport-aerobatic with a sort of scale appearance.

The Ultra Sport is an introductory level Pattern style aerobatic model.

The Super Sportster is better for general boring holes in the sky and can do most stuff at the local club Fun-Flys. The Ultra Sport has problems with some of the slower speed maneuvering commonly needed for Fun Fly competition, but it will fly smoother for large round loops and will penetrate wind better.

WOW you guys, The Ultra Sport 40+ is no pattern plane, The original IS but the 40+ is completely different. It more comes in to be like the Extra or Giles type plane. Great flyer but a touch beyond a second plane IMHO It has huge control surfaces and flies like it is on rails but only comes as a kit as far as I know but a nice build and not too complicated. By far a much more aerobatic plane than the SuperSportser and boy does it knife edge well, Unfortunately better than I because I dumb thumbed it in a knife edge and plan on another sometime soon. Hear is a pic from when I was breaking in the engine and almost finished covering it. and the red one is the orriginal, I found the pic on the web. It has a longer tail and the canopy more forward as the pattern planes do. Don't get me wrong the SS is a great plane but the two are in different leages http://www.wcflyers.com/images/membe...j_usport_1.jpg

I've had two of the supersportsters, and absolutly love'em, a very easy plane to fly and lands rather easy. The one that I still have, I fly regulary, and performs all basic manuvers that I throw at it very well. go with the sportster......in my opinion.:D

The Super Sportster is a more POPULAR plane (Mostly because it's a "Kinder, Gentler" plane).

But the US+ is a BETTER plane.

If you have confidence in your flying abilities, you'll find the US+ to be one of the best planes you'll ever own.

As stated, both good planes. I prefer the 60 size, but the 40s are fun too.
