Different Type of Balsa????
Hi,
As I have discussed in other threads, I am in the process of building / modifying a 2m glider kit... One thing that I have to do is re-make the sides of the fuze do alter the shape of the nose area... The Balsa that I have got from a model shop seems to be different from the one that the kit is made out of. The Balsa that is in the kit seems to have a more noticable grain in the wood, while the new sheet that I have seems very plain and blank... Are there different types of Balsa??? Do they have different strengths??? Could anyone suggest other methods of extending a fuze where a solid nose block is mounted so a bulkhead holding a electric motor can be attached??? Any suggestions would be useful... -- VB |
