Pull Pull on DP 40 size Ultimate
I been slowly assembling the new Dave Patrick 40 size Ultimate. I just finished the pull pull on the rudder, and what I've noticed is that with the offset, to the side, of the rudder servo, it is creating higher tension on both cables in one direction, and slack in one cable in the other direction. Didn't seem quite right. I've thought about modifying the servo tray, to have the elevator and rudder servos in line, in the center of the fuse, with the rudder servo slightly elevated. Seems like a lot of work if it's not nessasary. What's going on with everyone elses?

Sounds like you don't have the connections on the rudder right on (at right angles to) the hinge line; one side is slightly ahead of the hinge line (the one you pull when all lines get tighter) and the other behind the hinge line (one line slackens when you pull the other). It is very important that the attachment points on the rudder horns be on or slightly aft of the hinge line. The converse is true at the servo end, have the attachpoints on or slightly ahead of the pivot point on the servo.
