RE: Does this look a good setup?
That will work fine, but, if I was going to buy and 61, I would go ahead and get a 91 and put in it. Either way, just beef up the fire wall a little bit. I guy at my field has an OS 91 in his, but he runs it without a cowl.

RE: Does this look a good setup?
You will need to beef up a couple of areas.
The stock firewall is butt glued to the fuselage sides with hot glue. Use some tri stock and 30 minute epoxy to beef the firewall up, especially if you are going to use a larger engine. The fuselage is weak where the main wing fits in. One hard landing and it will crack. You will need to beef up this area also. The U-Can-Do is a great flying plane. I don't think you will be disappointed with the plane. |
RE: Does this look a good setup?
thanks for the advise
Should I put the tri stock in the front, or behind? (if I can reach in) |
RE: Does this look a good setup?
1 Attachment(s)
Behind. One flat needs to contact the firewall and one needs to contact the fuselage side, top, bottom; wherever you can get it to fit.
