Good 2nd plane

Im sure this has come up many times before, but i need help on deciding a 2nd airplane. I have an LT-40 and im not far away from being ready to build another. From what ive read everyone likes the 4 star 40. Is their anything else that looks a little better? Would a somthing extra be to much for a 2nd plane? Thanks

Tiger 2. Looks good & flies well. It can be built as a trike or tail dragger.

...The wonderful thing about tiggers, a tigger's a wonderful thing! The tops are made out of rubber, the bottoms are made out of spring! :D:D:D

I like the Tiger 2 also. The Somthing Extra would probably be good too. Haven't flown one, but it slows down real well for landings. Or how about the Easy Sport from Great Plains? It flies well and lands easy. I think that new Rapture .40 from Great Plains would also be a good choice. Looks like it has a big wing and should also be easy to land. But I haven't seen one fly yet. Take it easy!

you should definetly look at the WM T-34. that was my second plane and its flawless seriously, now its my pylon racer for club races. You really should go to a low wing trike gear NOT a taildragger. its to big of a jump.

It depends on what you want - tri gear or taildragger.

A great many of the planes available are taildraggers, and sooner or later you will probably want/get one. While there are some differences in take off/landing of a taildragger, most people have no problem transitioning to a taildragger

The Tiger II can be either tri gear or tail dragger. I am not sure if the 4* can be made tri gear or not.

If you are interested in an ARF, you might want to look at the World Models Rambler 30 and 45. The primary difference between the 2 is the 45 has retracts. I have the 30 and really like it - in fact it was the plane I learned to knife edge on. :D

A good 2nd airplane is any of the available sticks.

Hanger 9 Ultra Sticks (40, 60, 120 sizes)

Model Tech Joss Stick (90-120 size)

Great Plains Big Sticks (40, 60 sizes)

Hanger 9 Super Sticks (40, 60 sizes)
