Cockpit Piping
I am putting the finishing touches on a Sig Hog Bipe and am interested in what folks use for decorative “piping” around an open style cockpit. I am thinking about and have actually tried yellow fuel tubing. Problem is getting the stuff to stick. (silicone did not work too well).

RE: Cockpit Piping
I have used black neoprene tubing with a split on one side (they also sell cockpit coaming in 2 or 3 different sizes). I adhere it using RC56 canopy glue - it will adhere almost anything to anything else and it dries clear.

Thanks Campy, is this a Home Depot type item??

RE: Cockpit Piping
Not really. Both the cockpit coaming and the RC56 I have only seen at my LHS, however, Tower does carry it. http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...=++&search3=Go

RE: Cockpit Piping
Auto supply stores carry small neoprene tubing (windshield washer fluid) sold by the foot.
Also great for gasoline engine fuel tubing (if you don't split it first) |
