Dazzler engine thrust angle
Hi all,
I recently rebuilt my Dazzler ARF after a near-total crash. I set all the control surfaces & balance, even got to compare them to a good flying one at the field. Got it in the air, and it was unflyable. It wanted to dive severely, couldn't take it out with maximum elevator trim. It was all I could do to get it on the ground with minimal damage. Unfortunately, the firewall broke off in the landing (crash?) so I don't know if this was the problem. I want to fix this plane, but not if I am going to possibly waste an engine or radio in the process. My question is this: it looks like there is no side thrust, but I want to get the up-down thrust correct. Any suggestions? I would rather not retire this plane to a hanging display in the garage. Thanks, Mark |
RE: Dazzler engine thrust angle
Do you have a set of plans? The engine incidence in that airplane is zero. Also, there is no right thrust built in that airplane.
Now, I have a question. I just finised up my Dazzler kit and the airplane came too way noise heavy. It balance out with approx 1.6oz of lead in the tail. I am using an O.S.46FX. How is the balance on yours? Pedro |
