Futaba T6XAs -Good Radio?
 

A friend gave me a Futaba T6XAs radio and I am researching it. He also gave me a TF Cessna Skylane plane with everything in it. He is getting out of the hobby and said he flew the Cessna once. I found the manual online and have it and am learning all about the settings but my question is more one of concern because this radio has been discontinued. Should I be concerned with that? Does anyone know of a problem with the radio?

It is a fine radio. The only concern about discontinuing it is that you are now free to buy the new model for a lot more money. (G)

I know many guys who still use the t6xas radio. I even have one myself. It is a fine radio. Futaba came out with the cheaper 6 channel radio, 6exa I believe, and the more expensive 7cap. When those two came out, they discontinued the 6xas.

I have one, and it's great. CRFlyer said it best - It wasn't discontinued do to any problems, Futaba just changed their line a bit.
