Electric Zagi

Hi,

I want to put a brushless system in my electric zagi which currently has a 480 motor running off 1050 KAN's.

Anybody done this with success?

My current thinking is 3 cell 2200 lipo - 20 amp control - Het Motor.

Any suggestions people?

All info gratefully received!

what sized brushless. 20 amps would be to small for a 3 cell. go for an 8 turn brushless with at least a 35 amp controller. If your going with a 20 amp controller do a 2 cell lipo with a like a 10 turn witch is basically what comes with the Zagi tazz. For the model to take a brushless. make sure the ailerons are very secure. run 4 carbon fiber spars 3/32 by 1/4 within 2 inches of the leading edge, again basically setting it up like a TAZZ and XS Pro kit if it's not already set this way. with that it will literally take any amount of power you can throw at it. most people here are running 2-3 turns with 80 amp controllers and 4 cell lipos. have a hard time keeping the winglets on, but it flies just fine without them at speed
