Wagstaff wingtube problems

Hi Guys got a real problem with my GP 25% Wagstaff wingtube & need help please. The tube siezes in the wing & fuselage after flying I mean I can barely take the wings off the plane & something will break eventually. I have shaved the tube down & also slightly increased the diameter of the tube hole in both wing panels & the fuselage but by the end of the day I can barely get them apart. Anybody heard of this before & tried a different wingtube that may work maybe carbon???? Thanks guys

metal tubes are not round and sometimes will warp alittle while flying,i have seen this a couple of times ,you may want to invest in a carbon tube like from troubuilt.they are machined to perfectly round

Take a look inside the wings. If the female tubes are made out of cardboard, they could be swelling from moisture
The male tube for mine is a gold color aluminum, and I"ve had no problem. The female tubes inside my wings are cardboard . I store my birds in a air conditioned basement , and it"s not very humid in Indiana.

At least now, you have something to think about.

RE: Wagstaff wingtube problems

Use dry graphite every time you put the wings on. Put some on the tube itself and some inside the wings. Work the wings back and forth around the tube to get it evenly distributed. It helped the first time I did it and more every time I repeat the process. I've been doing this the last 6 times I've flown and they are working beautifully now.
I started with the same problem you describe and I have the dreaded cardboard tubes.
Clean-up becomes a little more of a problem if you get carried away like I do!
Good Flying to you!
