ESC

Hi; does anyone out there know if it is practical to run two brushless motors with one esc?
assuming the esc is rated for the amps.
This might be a dumb question, but I would rather look dumb than toast an esc or motors.
Thanks for any input. [email protected]

RE: ESC

I have read that some experts have run two brushless motors from one esc, but mere mortals had better use an esc for each motor.

Go to http://www.ezonemag.com/ , click on Discussion and do a search for "twin esc" without the quotes.

One modeler warns: "Some report good results, some dont! The motors must be as close as possable to design spec. Even variations between production motors will cause problems." Other problems are balky startup of motors and one motor shutting down if they are wired in parallel.

RE: ESC

it is perfectly o.k. to run 2 motors off of 1 esc providing it has the capacity to do so,the motors must be wired in parallel not series, you can use 2 esc's but there is no need,if 2 are used the bec must be disabled on one or you'll blow your rx.
