Request help identifying this plane...EDIT: solved!

This plane was picked up from an estate sale. It has a 58.5" wingspan and is about 48 inches from cowl to tail tip. It did come with a .40 Rossi with tuned pipe. At least we think it's a .40 according to our displacement calculations.

Thanks for the help!

It is not often that I am stumped!
But, You got me....
I have been an over-active R/C pilot for 29 years.
And, I still don't recognize it!

I have a guess that it is a kit-bashed Great Planes Ultrasport .40 or a scratch built plane.

Anyone else got a guess?
Doug

firstplaceaviator,
I was thinking along the same lines. That it was something based on an Ultra Sport.

RCKen,
I'm glad someone agrees!
I now live in Ohio. But, I lived in Tulsa for about 7 years.
I flew at the Gluedobbers field.
I had heard they moved. Do you know if they still exist?
By the way, Oklahoma can keep their 100 degree days! It rarely gets over 90 here.
I traded the heat for a snow blower......

From what I hear they are still up there someplace. I've never had the chance to fly up there, but I hear they are a good group of guys.

As much as I say I don't like the hot weather, I'll take it over the cold any day of the week!!!!! That's one of the reasons why I choose to stay down here when I got out of the Army :D

Back to IDing the plane - I just looked at the profile of my old GP Ultra Sport 40 and the vertical tail surfaces aren't swept back as much as yours. There was kit out a few years ago that was similar in profile to the US40 (don't remember the tail surfaces) that had wingtips that were angled, kinda like the old Sweet Sticks. Don't remember the company who made it, but the plane was called a Tsunami. That's my guess.

Gomike,
You are correct! I found a picture of another Tsunami. It is still manufactured by Direct Connection.
Here is the website that I found it on:

Heres another:

Well Dogtoes,
There is your answer and confirmation!
Thanks for the challenge!
