Cleaning a gas engine

Hi all. While reading through another forum I came across a thread of a fellow modifying an ARF Stick. Anyway, he talked about cleaning up an old engine to use on the Stick. He said he got the info from the Raleigh Durham RC Club, RDRC. He put the dissembled engine in a crock pot with anti freeze. He posted some before and after pictures and I was very impressed.

Does anyone know what this cleaning procedure is and have you tried it?

Thanks,
Birman

Several people have tried it and it works great. BUT!!!! You may never use that crock pot for cooking food ever again (And it should be somehow labled as such just in case it should ever wind up in a garage sale or something)

Thanks Minn. Do you happen to know where the temperture was set on the crock pot? Yes, I know that the anti freeze is a deadly poison.

Thanks,
Birman
