Robart air valve question?
I have a 2 needle air valve for my retracts buried in the fuse of my plane, with access holes for adjusting the valves. The retracts are not working smoothly, but I can't remember which way to turn the valves, to speed up or slow down. I'm not sure either if I have a leak. Any help? Bill

RE: Robart air valve question?
One valve controls the lowering and the other the raising (retracting). Screw the needle valve in to slow it down, out to speed it up. For the leak, I suggest powering it up (air) and going over each connection with a soapy water mix looking for bubbles. Another way is to use a piece of fuel tubing - one end close to your ear and the other at each connection - and listen for air escaping. This can be done with a tubing extension aimed at the connections (closely) to get to hard to get to places.

RE: Robart air valve question?
Thanks for the info! I hadn't thought about listening for the leak. Darn tube is routed all through the plane, and I hadn't used it in awhile, not sure if something dried out or what. Bill
