Horizontal stan aligment problem

Had some 30 min epoxy set-up faster than I could triple check the horizontal stab alignment with the wing and it came out a ferw degrees off. Has anyone had any success braking the H Stab to fuse epoxy joint enough to do some realignment?
Thanks

Try heating the epoxy with with heat gun (work carefully and wear gloves). You may be able to soften the epoxy enough to reposition it . . . if the tail doesn't catch fire first.

If that doesn't work, and depending on the model, you can saw it loose with a hacksaw blade or as fine an X-acto saw or razor saw as you can fit in there and re-attach. The balsa will break long before the epoxy if you try to force it apart. Epoxy is kind of overkill for most joins on a model. Now you see why.

RE: Horizontal stan aligment problem

Having to do many plane repairs I use a dremel to sand/cut off excess epoxy. make sure to use a face mask and try not to breath the fumes. I have no idea how it affects you but I have caught a powerful whiff of ca glue while cutting out a former and it about knocked me out. Now I use a small fan while I repair planes to keep dust and fumes away for my face.
