Would a programmer help me on this one?
 

My robart hinge points are set back into the aileron a bit more than they should be. They all match up perfect, but the leading edge of the aileron pivits up and down a little due to the fact that the hinge line is set back a little. Doesn't look like it will matter or hurt anything, but it has me concerned now. I do know better and realize that the hinge point should be on the hinge line, but it's not. So here is my question. I do have Hitec digital servos on the ailerons, so can I use a Hitec programmer and get the end points where they should be and not worry about the pivit point?

Maybe I am missing something here but cant you just use your radio and set the endpoints?

Ya, I can use the radio, but the sub-trim is off on both ailerons and the end points vary quite a bit to get the same throw. I was thinking maybe using a programmer might be a better way to go setting everything up, then fine tune with the radio if I have to. That way I will have even speed on both ailerons, am I right in my way of thinking?

If the throws are not exactly even its not really that big of a deal for a general sport flyer. If we are talking about a precision aircraft it would be... but if we were dealing with a high precision plane you would want to fix the hinges anyway.

I dont think buying a programer is the answer. If you really want to fix the problem the best bet is just to rehinge. It would be more economical, faster, and really is the best way to handle the problem.

If it were me I would probably just fly the plane. For the most part our models are pretty forgiving. If after flying it really bothered me I would worry about fixing them then.

True, good point. I think I will just fly it and see where I'm at.
