RE: difference between standard and digital servo?

Digital servos have incredible holding power. They consume way more power than a standard servo.

Here is the "gigantic servo chart" http://www.fatlion.com/sailplanes/servochart.html

RE: difference between standard and digital servo?

I had the occasion last summer to remove 2 well known, top quality, analog, coreless servos from the wings of a BN120 and replace them with 2 Hitec 5625 digitals. The difference was incredible ! This changeover sold me on digital servos. I experienced no noticeable reduction in the available flight time from my flight battery. I now have digitals in several planes and although I'm sure there is an increase in power consumption I do not notice it.
