Engine Thrust

Hi Folks

I am just finishing a Tower Hobbies trainer 40. I am going to use an O.S. 46 on it, Should I put any side thrust on the engine or get it as straight as possible. I would also like to know how to get it straight or put in x amount of side thrust. Thanks in advance for your help. Fred

The instructions don`t call for it . On mine I set it by the manual and it flew fine.

Sorry guys, I should have told you that I bought the plane, (That is about three years old) In the box. From an add in the paper. He said he had lost the manual. Is there a place on the web that I could go the get the manual? Thanks again
Fred

Yep, It's me again. I did find the manual on Tower Hobbies but nothing on line up. I'll just get it as straight as I can and see what happens. Happy flying!!!!! Fred

On page 16 it shows how to measure forward from the hatch opening.

Measure the distance from the spinner backplate to the
firewall. It should be 3-3/4” [95mm] on both sides of the
spinner backplate. Adjust the engine if needed and tighten the
screws evenly, using Threadlocker on the screws and the nuts
to secure the engine to the mount. Following the engine
manufacturer’s instructions, install the muffler to the engine

A pin in the tail and a piece of wire can be used to measure the difference in prop tips from left to right. Then a little trig will let you know the angle.
