Quick Charging

I have a Hobbico Quick Field Charger that is designed for a 12 volt supply from a car cigarette lighter port. Our club wired in 110 volt
service to our flying field. Can anyone tell me what kind of power supply or power converter or whatever I need to connect my Quick Charger to 110 volts???? Much thanks

RE: Quick Charging

One thing that a lot of people do in your position is convert a PC power supply to power their 12v quick chargers. You can find instructions for doing the conversion here: [link]http://web2.murraystate.edu/andy.batts/ps/powersupply.htm[/link]

Hope this helps

RE: Quick Charging

If you do not have a PC power supply handy, or do not feel comfortable doing the conversion, there are lots of power supplies available to do the job.
One company is Tripp-Lite

I have model PR-4.5, and the same field charger, and it seems to work well.
