Horns
Does anyone make metal horns for either the ailerons / rudders. If not, who sells the best for giant scale aircraft.

RE: Horns
Central Hobbies sells a few different brands of metal horns
http://www.centralhobbies.com/contro...s/horns00.html Robart has some nylon horns that look pretty beefy, and have nylon or aluminum ball link at the connection for the clevis. http://www.robart.com/Horns.aspx I'm sure others will add to this list. |
RE: Horns
Sullivan and Du-Bro both make some good horns.

RE: Horns
Make your own with 4-40 bolts , blind nuts, and aileron horn brackets (DuBro #557). Drill a hole thru the control surface, screw a blind nut on the bolt with the non spike side toward the head of the bolt, put the other end of the bolt thru the control surface, and screw the other blind nut on the end of the bolt and sink the spikes into the control surface. Then screw on one of the aileron brackets to connect the clevis. You can also get a simular system already set up and heavy duty ( 6-32 bolt ) as DuBro part 867.
