MPi Switch question???
Help,
I installed a MPi LED indicator light charging switch in my Twist 150 and want to maiden it tomorrow. I haven't used these switches before so I have a question about the difference between the 4.8V and the 6V battery packs. A friend told me for the switch to operate properly with the 6V battery I needed to cut the black wire loop on the side of the switch. Is this the correct thing to do to switch for it to change from 4.8V to 6V? Please respond ASAP, Gibbs |

Exactly! :D

RE: MPi Switch question???
Funny,
If I had the instructions I wouldn't be asking. I got the switch new but the Guy I got it from didn't have anything but the switch. A simple answer would be nice. Thanks for the joke, Gibbs |

NCIS--
I have the instruction in front of me-- "... For 6V use, simply cut the jumper loop on the back of the switch and seal the wires with silicone, glue, or tape. The jumper can be reconnected for 4.8V operation." Mark |

mimhoff,
Thanks for the quick and thoughtful answer. I didn't think this forum was for jokes anyway. Again thanks, Gibbs |

I tried to scan and post the instructions but they were so small you could not read them. Here are operation instructions: "To test the battery, move all sticks simultaneously and observe the LED. If the yellow or red LEDs begin to flicker, it is time to recharce the Rx pack." I presume you need to move the sticks to put a load on the Battery Checker circuit -- I suspect if you do not move the sticks you could get a false green. You may have already known about this but I am posting just in case. |
RE: MPi Switch question???
mimhoff,
No, I didn't know that I could test the batteries condition under load that way. Thanks for the heads up! Gibbs |
