dreaming
Does O.S. have a 82 fs on the market, or am I just dreaming? I swear I read something about this.

RE: dreaming
WOW!!! I think I'll wait a couple years till either the price goes down or I inherit one. Kinda pricy for an 11K RPM engine isn't it? That's the same price as a .91 pumped and more than a 1.20. It looks nice though :)

RE: dreaming
im guessing this is the os reply to the successful saito 82?

RE: dreaming
If memory serves you can get a Saito 82 for about 250 and a Saito 125 for 340.00. I have no idea why OS is pricing their 81 so high. I prefer Saito to OS anyway.
[Please don't jump me you OS fans (:-). I have both brands in my planes.] Donald's Hobby Center always seems to have good prices on engines. He's not always rigid on his prices so don't hesitate to bargain with him. |

Ken
Thank you for busting my dream. No way I"ll pay that price. Whats O.S. marketing thinking?? (must be a reason) May-be just greed!! Looks as if I'll become a " Saito Man". I'm a little afaired of the tuning and break in peroid of the saito thou. matt |
RE: dreaming
At break-in I did run approx one gallon thru my Saito 82 but if that's responsible for the smooth running 82 I have now it was worth the time and expense.
I swear that engine starts as soon as I start towards it with the starter (:-). I haven't checked the idle rpm since installed but it certainly seems to be turning over very slowly. I do own a tach so maybe I'll actually use it next time out instead of leaving it on the shelf. |
