IDENTIFY THIS PLANE! :)

1 Attachment(s)
Hey everyone.. I picked up a new plane today! :) Found a guy online that was selling a little what looks like a pylon racing plane, I got the plane for 50 bucks :) the servo leads were messed up so im just gonna pick up 3 new servos tomorrow, and it should be GREAT after that, I have my receiver in it and my transmitter set up, so all I need is my new servos! I attatched some pictures so I wanna know if anyone out there knows the make of this plane? and the model of it, I also wanna know if it was a tail dragger or a trike set up, the guy said he removed the landing gear as he liked to hand launch it, but I dont feel good hand launching a nitro plane, so hey yall let me know what you think and maybe you can help me out!

Looks like an Ace Pacer. If I remember the 1/2A version had no landing gear. Looks to me like you have an OS .10 on the one you have but I can't see enough of it to be sure.

thanks man im pretty sure you nailed it :) hope I can hand launch it then.. haha It didn't look like there was landing gear on this plane, everytings smooth and i couldn't see where it would go... i just dont like the idea of landing the plane on its belly.. especially a balsa glow powered plane especially where the exhaust isn't flush with the bottom of the plane... do you think i COULD add some small landing gear on it?

also can anyone tell me what the CG of the plane is.. i dont want to hand launch the pacer and it nose dive because of a forward CG.. or stall because of a rear cg

The last one I saw fly was over 20 years ago and was powered by a TD.051. The engine was upright so no real issues hand-launching or landing. Can't tell you where the CG is, it wasn't my plane. Why not try just a little forward of the high point of the wing airfoil or right on it. Good luck with it. The one I saw was a fine flyer.

No, the one with the TD 051 was likely a Mach None. The pacer was larger.

I concede the Mach None, but wasn't there a Pacer and a Super Pacer? The Super Pacer being a .25?

Don't concede...You're right...There was a pacer and a super pacer. The Pacer and Mach None were both .049 size and the dedsgns were nearly identical. I have both kits in stock.
