How about a few tips on Koverall ,,when I do it ,it shrinks up good and tight but pulls away from glue at the edges then it starts to look raggerty with bits hanging off every where so whats the secret with this stuff PLEASE !

Hey grimmy55, is "raggerty" really a word? I always go over the seams a couple of times before I shrink the covering. Be sure that you let the seams cool completely BEFORE you get the heat gun out. You may have been using a little too much heat. Try going over the whole section & letting it cool ( sometimes it will shrink a little more AFTER it cools off) Good Luck

[8D]A heat gun can loosen seams very quickly. Whenever I use a heat gun,
I make sure that I do not let the blast of the gun get near seams. I use an
iron to seal and shrink covering in those areas where there are seams. I
use the heat gun to shrink covering in wider areas, such as wings.

I've covered about 20 planes and could never master using Monokote. It seems you have to pull it too tight while stretching it possibly warping a wing or cracking some balsa. And I can never get all the puckers out of it.

I've never had that problem with the Ultracote and the results of using UC are always pleasing. Also, it seems you can pull the UC off a framework after sealing it down without harming the covering so there's alot less waste in the end.
