RE: Fuel proofing question

ok this is where I sound like a total noob... I am guessing some sort of epoxy... it is painted on the outside, and formed fiberglass on the inside... Its really roughed up on the inside and does not have a smooth finish.. like I said, total noob when it comes to a model with an engine cowl...

I know to fuel proof the fire wall and what not... was not sure about the cowling itself...

Thanks

RE: Fuel proofing question

If your cowells are anything like the ones that came with my b17 they are formed plastic that has been fiberglass re enforced on the inside for strength and to resist cracks. The plastic and glass are fuel proof but the finish you choose may or may not be.
