Getting Decals or Transfers Made
I have a set of 1:48 Scale Decals that I want reproduced to 1:5 Scale for the TF GS RTC Version P-51 I need to know how to go about this and/or some sources that can do this for me, I figure its a matter of scanning the 1:48 Scale Set that I have, and sending it to a decal Maker? could it be that simple?

Try Aeroloft. They made already have a set made. I am having them resize a set that they already had for my Grumman Panther.

RE: Getting Decals or Transfers Made
I use Photoshop and do my decals as follows:
1. Scan them into the computer 2. Increase the resolution to about 200dpi initially (you will need to play with the dpi for a sharp, clear image) 3. Adjust the size initially in Photoshop 4. Do a test print on plain paper through a word processor (I use Word Perfect) 5. Adjust/fine tune the size to what you need through the word processor 6. IF NEEDED, go back to Photoshop and adjust the resolution (dpi) for the sharpness/clarity needed 7. Print onto water slide decal paper paper (http://www.beldecal.com/ Paper runs about $1.00 per sheet and is available in clear and white background) 8. Clear coat the decal and let dry overnite 9. Cut out and apply 10. After the decal dries (typically 24 hrs+) clear coat again to seal the edges. Hope this helps. |
