Futaba 10C or 8U plus 2.4 module?
Hello guys.
I have a discontinued Futaba 8U system(http://www.futaba-rc.com/discontinued/futj80.html), that is working pretty good for me. But it is an old system, not 2.4, with some interferences issues, and I am thinking about to get a new one. The one that fits in my pockets is the Futaba 10C, for USD 600.00. But I also have the option to upgrade my 8U system to 2.4 ghz, getting a module and a receiver for USD 320.00 (http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXRTU7&P=V). I don't know what is better. To buy a new radio or pay the half value of it and get just the module and receiver... Any toughts? |

Get the 10C
It's a LOT of radio for the money |

The 10C will do things you old radio wont even think about. Get it for sure.

Wow... Thank you guys for the replies.
I have it decided right now. I will get the 10C 2.4 for me. But should I get the heli or the air model? I don't fly helis, but we don't know the future!! :D My foccus is really the airplanes. Will be a heli model good for me anyway? |

ORIGINAL: MasterAlex ... and just in case you missed it, [link=http://www.rcuniverse.com/magazine/article_display.cfm?article_id=1027]here's[/link] Minn's review of the 10c. ;) -MA There's some differece between a inside 2.4 radio system and a modular one?? I was thinking that, if you just put a 2.4. module in your old system, it would be working like a pretty good 2.4... |
RE: Futaba 10C or 8U plus 2.4 module?
I have always opted for the heli version of all the TXs that I have bought, even that they are almost the same. When I bought my first computer radio with memory capabilities to store more than one model, then I had the bug to fly helis, I bought one heli and I was glad that my radio had the capabilities to fly that heli.
By now I have an old JR8103 eight channel (Heli version) and the only problem that I have is that it stores only ten models. I have read the 10C review described and I consider it a good option. |
