I have a brand new Os 55ax, Os 75 ax and a Magnum 91 4 stroke...But when I find a plane I really want if none of these engines fit the bill, then I will just grab what I need for it.. Thanks |

How about a twin? I can send you a short kit if you have some stuff to trade.

In short, if you are flying ARFs you are stuck with the same cookie cutter planes anyone else can buy. Kits are a better choice but you have to bash for something different there too. You may want to look at plans building for something real different. How about an X-wing fighter from Star Wars?? MAN plans even has plans for that. Very few of my planes are something you can walk in and buy. I have even seen plans for the 163 prop jet. NICE ME!!!!

I was looking for something different too; I have quite a few aircraft from a Cub, Cap, Extra, Swoose, Martin Mariner, Skybolt just finished, along with a few others in the workshop, and I've decided on a Dornier 335 from Al Masters plans, 56" scaled up to 64" and I'll be using an OS .70 FS up front and OS .52 FS down the back. One of my criteria is that it has to be fast.
It looks like an interesting project, and probably on the high side of difficulty. |
RE: Wanting something different
There are a set of plans for one in MAN too. I have always liked it and have kept looking at the plans thinking about it. It's one of those twins that will fly well with only one engine and something you never see at shows or fly ins. I have some books with a lot of info on it. That is a very different plane!!
