Try and answer this one!!

Right guys having problems. I want to put a gyro on my ailerons. But I also want my ailerons to act as spoilerons. How do i wire this setup? I know that the gyro likes a "clean" signal from RX (i.e no mixing on the TX). But I need to mix on my TX for spoilerons. Any sugestions. Any wireing diagrams?

Why on earth you would want a gyro on the ailerons I'll never know but you're not going to be able to do what you want. The gyro only has one channel input and one output and if you Y it there you wont have flapperons. If you run flapperons then you would need two gyros, one on each aileron, a nightmare matching them I wouldn't want to contemplate though I suppose if you were determined it could be done.

A gyro isn't aware of mixing, I dont know where you heard about "clean" signals.

Check out www.********.com and learn the wondurfull benefits of flying with gyros on your plane. Just dont know how to actually wire it all together!! Ha!!

I am wanting it for level flight and also landing in cross winds

Ummm. A less expensive and simpler method some around here use is "thumb and forefinger" and practice. I guess it's not for eveyone though. ;)

Sounds kinda crazy.....but,theres nothing wrong with experimenting with things just for the fun of it,even if its not necessary. I say,if you can afford it....TRY IT! Thats the only way you'll know what happens even if the chances are still you'll get good results. If you figure it out let us know how it works! And so what if it dont work good.

Try and answer this one!!
My answer to this one would be "just say no to gyros". Set your spoilerons on a slider. I have flaperons AND spoilerons on my Hot Stik (simultaneously - two split ailerons per wing half) and I don't need no gyros second guessing what I want the airframe to do.

Helicopters and unpiloted drones, maybe, but unnecessary in a "planks" (fixed wing aircraft). That's my job!

If I wanted to hover I'd fly a helicopter. ;)

Im really into VTOL. Gyros in a plane on all 3 of its axces really helps with this. I already have gyro my rudder and elevator. Just dont know how to wire for ailerons and spoilerons at same time.

Seems to me that the gyro outputs would replace a 'Y' harness for the ailerons; except when you want to turn. lol

Sounds like what you really want is an auto-pilot. Check out BAT unit.

Yes, I tend to agree with you k3... I'm thinking the auto pilot would take the fun right out of flying though, I know it does on the full size planes. JMHO

I'm kind of a "Fly by the seat of your pants" kind of fellow.
