manually control speed

is there a product available or DIY schematic for a simple knob or slide switch that you can control a speed controller with to use for testing the controller without using the normal radio control setup? I want to be able to bench test different setups without using a radio. thanks

You need to get your self a watt meter or simmilar. I use a meter from Turnigy and it measures Amp draw, Voltage, Mah used as well as live time watts, so you can see straight away if the changes are better.
Or for a couple of dollars you can buy just a servo driver.

Cheers
