Problems with saito 56 4 stroke

I wonder can anyone assist me ? I have a saito 56 4 stroke that i recently lost the high end needle value to.

I purchased a replacement needle but couldn't get the engine to run correctly. Thinking I may have purchased the wrong needle I brought another one recently from sussex models giving them the engine details etc so I know I have the correct needle.

I have put the needle value and tried to run the engine but seem to have the same problem.

The needle value appears to make no difference to the speed of the engine. I am able to screw the needle in all the way in and all the way out and it makes no difference to the engine at all, usaully when you adjust this needle it will peek the engine.

Does anyone know why the engine is doing this and how I can fix the problem

did you have the carb off ? If so you may be sucking air around one of the o-rings.

nah the carb has never been off. The engine was great, i lost the needle, brought 2 replacements and have never had the engine running the same since.
