Midwest AT-6 Texan
My brother and I have 2 Midwest AT-6 Texan's. Both are approximately 15 years old, but kit has never been built. All parts and plans are in new condition. Just got these kits years ago and never got around to building them. I guess you could say this is NOS. Packaging is still in place in box. They are just like new, just several years old. This is the 1./20 scal kit with the 84" wingspan. Thing is I have no idea what these kits are worth. I know Midwest doesn't make them anymore, and not sure even when they quit making them, But we are planning on selling them and would like some kind of idea of what they are worth. don't want to try and rob anyone, but I want to be fair to myself and the buyer, any suggestions on how much to ask for them would greatly be appreciated.

RE: Midwest AT-6 Texan
If I remember these kits were ~ $250 new back then. I know because I bought one, built it, and still fly it. Once and awhile they show up on RCU and on other sites. They usually go for a decent amount of money since they are hard to come by. You should get at least what they were worth when you bought them, and maybe a little more.

RCU has a 'RcU-Book Market Value' which list the kit as:
New in Box Sale Date Sale Price Quantity Days Listed Sales History 11/21/2009 $380.00 1 1 Days Seller's Description |
RE: Midwest AT-6 Texan
Ya, I can believe they go for that price. PICA kits that are equivalent in size (i.e. > 80 ") often sell in that price range as well. I think both manufacturers put out decent kits.

Any idea what this kit would be worth now if it included Fiberglass Specialties fiberglass parts (cowl and belly pan) plus Robart retracts and TruTurn scale nose bullet spinner? I'm guessing about $450.

I was just given a kit built texan and near as I can tell it is a midwest kit. I am looking for parts (robart retracts, cowling etc.) Any help would be appreciated. I might be interested in that kit with the fiberglass parts.
