U Can Do Antenna Problems

New Tower Hobbies receiver and transmitter installed in a U Can Do. No matter where I put my antenna I have glitch problems. I tried other crystals and receivers (Tower Hobbies) , and i have the same problem. The Tx antenna can be extended or collapsed. It doesn't make a difference.
All fatuba servos in plane react so I know it is not a bad servo . can any one help me ?

How does it do with a receiver just on the bench with a few servos and a battery hooked up? How is the antenna routed? What kind of receiver battery? Does it do it running, not running or both? What kind of engine?

It sounds to me like you may have a transmitter problems since it does it with multiple receivers.

6 volt and 4.8 no difference<div>I tried switching tx cristles.</div><div>I pulled rx out still hooked into servos. ( half benched test)</div><div>It seems like the Tower radio is reacting to fatuba servos or servo wires .</div><div>and no I have not started engine yet</div>

OK Its not the house.<div>
</div><div>Next I will try bench test with fatuba servo. Its not easy to remove from this plane.     were was that string, so I can pull this wire back in.</div>

Make sure the receiver antenna is not broken or loose at the receiver connection.
Try a new switch
Are you using digital servos in an old receiver
Try a new or different receiver in the airplane
Make sure the transmitter batteries are Ok

Sometimes they just get out of tune and need a factory check up

Are you dooing this indoors while standing next to the plane? You could be "Swamping" the receiver.

Take it outside and walk a few feet away and see if it still happens.

Switching Tx crystals is a No No .

Is Tx too close to the Rx when this
all happens ?

If you have changed the TX crystal then you need to go back to the old one or send the transmitter in for retuning. If you have an electrical meter, check your actual voltage at the reciever to see if you have a wiring problem.

Hi!
The first thing you should do is to check how far you can go with the transmitter antenna fully collapsed?
100m is the norm!

Definitly sounds like bad Tx. As said do not change TX crystal, illegal and would have to be retuned by technician. Perhaps Tx battery

I had glitching in my 46UCD because I used a thin wire servo extension on one of the channels. I made sure all were heavy duty; all went away. A friend had glitching and twisting the wires got rid of it, so I do it to all mine just incase. I ran my antenna to the rudder, outside traditional.

Twisting wires?     servo wires or antenna wire?    My friend winds his servo wire around a pencil than pulls the pencil out. I thought it was only for looks. <div>
</div><div>OK Back to topic - I had a Y harness coiled up along receiver I stretched it in a loop up to the fuel tank and back and moved the receiver to top of fuse behind canopy .  I think and found salvation. Tx battery is now charging for next test. Engine running test.  </div><div>
</div><div>It looks like snow is on its way   So i will get back to this exciting hobby after plowing is done.</div>
